Sea Roots is a small farm by the sea, located in Mosteiros, on the island of São Miguel in the Azores.

Mosteiros is one of the most beautiful places on the island, with its black sand beaches, crystal clear natural pools and fantastic

sunset that can only be seen on the western side of the island. It is a privileged location for sports such as fishing,

diving/snorkelling and surfing, as well as tourist activities such as whale and bird watching, and hiking.

At Sea Roots, we have three self-contained accommodation units, as well as small-scale agricultural activities, with several organic vegetable gardens, a greenhouse and an apiary. It is also home to other animals, such as chickens and guinea pigs, all of which roam freely. Our family lives on the property, and our goal is to live in close proximity to nature, minimising our environmental impact as much as possible by producing part of the energy we consume and managing our organic waste in an integrated manner, with the help of our animals.
